Just tried 7 Chai Ipoh Hor Fun for the first time and I must say, I am impressed with the smooth chicken!
When we visited the shop at 11:45 AM on Wednesday, it was almost packed with patrons.
The smooth chicken or poached chicken is absolutely smooth, tender and flavorful with a savory sauce that complemented the chicken perfectly. And with the price of RM26 for half chicken, it is reasonable.
The Kai Si Hor Fun was tasty, but it lacks the ‘Ipoh flavour’.
Although it lacked the ‘Ipoh flavour’, the dish was still tasty, featuring silky smooth noodles and perfectly cooked chicken.
The Smooth Chicken Noodle was a standout dish with a little savoury broth and tender chunks of chicken, making it the clear winner. I have never tasted anything quite like it. The simple combination of ingredients came together perfectly to create a truly exceptional dish.
While the Iced Coffee was a suitable complement to the meal, it was not particularly exceptional or impressive.
The Curry Noodle did not particularly stand out and seemed like just another standard curry noodle dish.
The Wantan and Blanched Beansprout were excellent sides that added a nice crunch and freshness to the meal.
Overall, I highly recommend 7 Chai Ipoh Hor Fun for anyone looking for delicious and satisfying smooth chicken dish.
The food is fresh, flavorful, and affordable, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Definitely a must-visit spot in town!
Please note that parking can be difficult due to the presence of a morning market nearby. Additionally, given the recent surge in popularity, the restaurant is likely to be crowded, and there may be a shortage of staff to handle the influx of customers.
