Two years ago, I did my first review of Restoran Siu Siu Sungai Besi. My camera and lighting are horrible at that time. So, the pictures are terrible.

Since my first review, I visited the place on multiple occasions, mostly when I’m looking to satisfy my crab’s craving.

We used to go to Klang before we found Siu Siu and since Siu Siu, we seldom visiting Klang anymore. One because Klang is too far and two Klang has so many tolls.

On a typical day, I’d restrain myself from visiting Siu Siu just because I want to stay away from eating crabs and lala too often.

So if you are here, there are a few things that are a must to order. Like their char siu, crabs, lala, and noodle.

My first visit to Siu Siu, the char siu is fantastic especially when it’s still hot. But, there are a few visits that the char siu is cold and hard. After that, we stop ordering it unless we’re craving.

I think the most consistent dish will be their Kam Heong Lala (RM30) and Soup Lala. I will go for their Kam Heong Lala first. The aromatic Kam Heong flavor that infused with curry leaves and mixes with dried prawn and curry powder is so addictive. And without fail, the lala is always big, that’s what gives pure satisfaction to this dish.

On another hand, the soup lala is rich, flavourful and aromatic from the rice wine. Oh man, we used to order twice for the soup. Is that damn good!

Braised Pork With Yam RM28
Pork belly with yam (芋头扣肉 wu tau kau yoke) is a Hakka dish and it’s one of my favorite Chinese food. And because I love this dish so much and to satisfy my curiosity, we ordered it. Gotta say the flavour is alright, but not the best I ever tested.

Siu Siu famous for their crabs. Typically, the crabs will be a big size crab. Sometimes, can be slightly small than usual. However, I still consider it more significant than other restaurants.

For the crabs, they have a few ways to cook it. Like, Claypot Crab’s Meat Rice, Buttermilk Crab, Kam Heong Crab, Marmite Crab, Salted Egg Crab and lots more which I can’t recall.

This time, we ordered Marmite Crab and Salted Egg Yolk Crab.

Marmite Crab RM72
Marmite is considered an acquired taste. We always love to eat Marmite sauce especially my hubby. And only a few chefs that nail the Marmite sauce excellently, Siu Siu is one of the places. The marmite sauce is slightly thick, sweet and a little salty at the end. That’s how we like it.

Salted Egg Yolk Crab RM76
Salted Egg Yolk Crab is my sister in law favorite. Siu Siu put a generous portion of salted egg yolk on the crab that makes it incredibly delicious, while of course if you like salted egg yolk. While who doesn’t?!

Special Fried MeeHoon (M) RM20
We came to Siu Siu a few times, and we ordered many fried noodle. When comes to the noodle, can be as simple as fried mee hoon or any ordinary fried noodle, the chef always hit it on the right spot. Always delicious and satisfying.

Stir Fry Sweet Potato Leaves Vegetable (M) RM15
Just average, nothing to shout about this.

Overall, we had a very satisfying meal. Love the place and will always be back for the Crabs and Lala.
