This is the 3rd Movement Control order – MCO 3 for me.
Personally, for me. I am used to it.
I still vividly remember the first MCO, where everyone is panicking about buying groceries and have no idea what to expect.
We did the same too, but we did it online. We have Jaya grocery sending all the items to us and engaging a personal shopper to do the shopping for us during the MCO.
I’m not going to lie; there was an element of fear, mostly fear for the UNKNOWN.
The emotional roller coaster is REAL.
Fear for what will happen, especially in terms of terrified of losing our jobs, commitments and lots of other personal and family things.
One day, I was reading this article.
It is about Covid and how to beat the emotional roller coaster we all having.
These sentences struck me the most.
“We are not going back to normal.”
“We are heading somewhere else.”
“The faster we ADAPT to live side by side with covid, the FASTER we will pick up our lives.”
The only way I know how to navigate a crisis — any adversity, really — is through.
The first step is acceptance because, without that, we aren’t even at square one.
But once we make peace with our current misfortune — what Navy SEALs inelegantly but wisely call “embracing the suck” — we can start the process of re-establish a sense of control over our lives.
The world has changed many times, and it is changing again. All of us will have to adapt to a new way of living, working, and forging relationships.
I’m confident that we’ll eventually emerge from this crucible — forever changed for sure, but hopefully stronger, more resilient, and more future-proof as people, companies, and countries.
Stay safe! ❤
