I’ve been making my wonton soup from scratch for years now; store bought never been appealing to me.

It’s so easy to make, and you will agree with me when you make this.

The weather is perfect for a warm and comforting soup; I hope you’ll enjoy it.

How to make wonton | Wonton Soup Recipe

Serves : 3-4 persons

100g minced pork
50g peeled prawns
1 tbsp spring onions, finely chopped
15-16 wonton skins

1 tsp light soy sauce
3/4 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1.5 tsp shao xing wine
1.5 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp corn flour
2 tbsp water
1/3 tsp sugar
1/3 tsp salt
A few pinch of white pepper

Soup :-
500 ml chicken stock

1 tbsp spring onions, finely chopped
some choy sum
1. Slice prawns to a small pieces.

2. Finely chop 2 tbsp spring onions.

3. In a bowl, combine minced pork, prawns, spring onions and all the seasoning ingredients.. Mix well and marinate for 20-25mins.

2. To wrap wontons:

a. Get ready a small bowl of water.
b. Take 1 piece of wonton skin, and place a small mound (roughly 1 tsp) of filling in the centre.
c. Dip your finger into the water, and run it around the edges of the wonton wrapper.
d. Bring the opposite edges together and seal it.

3.In a boiling water, blanch the wonton. To remove the starch. Cook for 2-3 mins, transfer to a serving bowl.

4. For the soup:
a. In the same time, place chicken stock in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to the boil.
b. Add the choy sum and cook for 1-2 mins. Transfer choy sum & the soup to the serving bowl with wonton.

5. Garnish with 1 tbsp chopped spring onions.
