My hubby loves noodle. We will try to discover places that serve a good and tasty noodle. So, one of our favourites is Fish Head Noodle.
So, we’re in IOI City Mall the other day and looking for a place to have dinner. For us, it always difficult to find good food in a shopping mall. Personally, I felt it easy to have variety choices in a mall but good ones, it hard to find. We can be picky at times because it’s a hard decision.
We came across this restaurant on the highest floor of IOI City Mall, Home Made Fish Head Noodle Restaurant. The location can be secluded and hard to discover unless you walk further in after the supersave shop.
The restaurant kind of empty with only 2-3 tables filled with patrons. We looked through the menu, and it did serve lots of other food too. David ordered Fried Fish Head Mee Hoon, and it comes with free Milk Tea (served cool add RM0.30) & I ordered Special Sauce Chicken With Bean Curd Rice and also came with Free Plum Juice ( add RM0.30 to serve cool). On the side dish, we ordered Deep-Fried Prawn with Salted Egg.
The food served within less than 15 minutes. The first to come was Fried Fish Head Mee Hoon RM13.30. When it arrived, the bundle of vermicelli in the sea of creamy soup looked tempting enough. The creamy taste that comes from evaporated milk was offset very well by the sour flavour of the salted vegetables. There’s also a hint of ginger and the rich taste of seafood. In all, the soup was really flavourful. The accompanying fried fish head served on a separate platter instead of in the soup, it was crisp, flavourful and most importantly fresh! The Milk Tea was not too shabby as well.
For my Special Sauce Chicken With Bean Curd Rice RM13.80. I don’t expect a huge portion of rice and beancurd for one person. The sauce tastes like kung po sauce but minus the heat. The bean curd and chicken meat were deep fried and served with this special sauce. It’s quite tasty, and I’m totally full after the meal. For my drink, Plum Juice was alright too.
Last on the table was Deep-Fried Prawn with Salted Egg RM10.90. You’ll get about ten prawns. Yes, we’re counting, LOL. It’s crunchy on the outside and the inside, the crisp batter kept the prawn meat juicily. It almost beautiful but some of the prawns had a bad smell. I think because it was not fresh.
Overall, the experience here was pleasant. We’re definitely come back again.
So, if you’re craving for something satisfying meal, drop by the Home Made Fish Head Noodle Restaurant. They do have a few branches through out Klang Valley.
