Fried Yee Mee Noodle Recipe | Yee Mee noodles are always a favorite!
Ingredients:
3 tbsp cooking Oil
200g Yee Mee (3)
150g Beansprout
4 cloves garlic, minced
50g Pork Slices
9 Prawns shelled and deveined
1 Chicken thigh, boneless and cut into bite-size
1 Fish Cake, sliced thinly
1 cup chicken stock
200ml water
Seasoning:
1.50 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
A few dashes of white pepper
Cornstarch Liquid:
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
Method:
- Heat a pot with water and throw in Yee Mee.
- Cook Yee Mee until it separates and slightly softens. Drain and rinse with cold water.
- Heat a wok and throw in minced garlic. Cook until minced garlic slightly brown.
- Add Chicken meat and Pork Slices — Cook for 2-3 mins.
- Add Fish cakes. Give a quick stir.
- Add in 200ml chicken stock and all the seasoning.
- Then, add the half-cooked yee mee. Give a quick stir.
- Add about 200ml water and cover for 5 mins.
- Add prawns and beansprout. Give a quick stir and cover for 2 mins.
- Uncover and swirled liquid cornstarch around the sauce. Give an even stir, and you’re done!
